Located in the heart of the city, the António Pereira Afonso Municipal Forest is an urban forest park.
This fenced-off forest area covers 3.5 hectares, mainly occupied by oak and maritime pine trees and, in the leisure area, species such as the olive tree and the Buçaco cedar, among many other Mediterranean species.
Inside the forest, visitors can also exercise on the small maintenance circuit and socialize in the picnic area, with 5 tables and around 30 seats.
Here you will also find the Ourém Environmental Education Center / Headquarters of Quercus do Ribatejo e Alta Estremadura.
The forest has marked parking for around 30 vehicles.
