The CASA DAS CANDEIAS museum belongs to the Francisco and Jacinta Marto Foundation.
Francisco and Jacinta are “two lamps that God lit to illuminate humanity in its dark and restless hours”. This is what Pope John Paul II said about them on the day he beatified them in Fatima on May 13, 2000. The light that emanates from these children has the contours of the message that the Lady of the Rosary entrusted to them in the Cova da Iria. The light of these children, who accepted the challenge of offering their lives to God, remains as a memory of a journey of holiness that also challenges us today.
It is this light that the House of Candles wishes to evoke.
